Tell us about what you’ve been doing this summer.

This summer has been entirely dedicated to recording and mixing my new album Anthems of the Hero. And I’m about to deliver it up! I’m excited.

Tell us about your new album “Anthems of the Hero.”

I wanted to combine the soul and vibe of classic 70′s recordings with the wizardry of modern digital editing.  I wanted to make an album that was heavily electronic but sounds like it was played by real people.  And I wanted to make an “electronic album” that has staying power and replay-ablity – a collection of tracks that are songs, not just DJ tracks.

What is the inspiration and intention behind the title and the art work?

I was inspired by the ancient art of cultures from around the world.  They understood time and temporality in a different way than we think now.  So when they made art and recorded information, they did it in a way that it could translate across time and across many cultures.  It was art, information and vibration combined as a package in one message – beautiful efficiency and aesthetics working across multiple levels.

What is different about this record vs. the Labyrinth EP?

Labyrinth was entirely produced by myself and I wrote and performed all the music.
Anthems was produced by Ross Robinson and we recorded Jon Theodore on drums and Cody Votolato on guitar.  Then I took that and fused it with demos I had written of the songs.  There are many more ideas than my own on this album and I think that makes it stronger than anything I could have done alone.

Rumor has it that you’ll be shooting a new music video soon… in our house! Is there anything you can tell us about your new video project?

Yes.  I can tell you its going to be awesome.  The concept is: a full on girl fight at a house party in super slo-mo.
