Christian Martin’s love affair with electronic music began in 1995, as an early attendee at Southern California’s now legendary full moon desert parties. After absorbing late 90’s club life in New York, London, and Los Angeles, Christian settled in San Francisco in the spring of 2000. Inspired by the massive desert soundsystems of old, Christian founded the Dirtybird soundsystem. Since then he’s been busy in the studio, polishing multiple remixes and originals.

Worthy grew up around Washington DC in the early days of Deep Dish, Scott Henry and the early American rave scene. Moving to SF in 2001 he eventually conspired with Christian Martin, Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke to co-create Dirtybird. He also runs his own label, Anabatic Records.

With an unusual and intriguing musical upbringing– spanning Bluegrass to Rock, Classical to Jazz and Punk to modern day Electronica Joplin’s musical style can truly be called eclectic. For the last 10 years, she has been mainly recognized for her deep and funky House grooves, but her more recent repertoire extends far beyond to include Afro-Latin-jazz and Blues influenced Downtempo, Broken Beat and Funk.
