A Misfit Valentine’s Special w/ Santiago Salazar & Mesmé

Location: Paper Tiger Bar LA
When: February 14th

Looking for Valentine’s Day plans can be tricky but this year, let the music do all the work! After spending the early 2000’s in Detroit with huge names like Jeff Mills and Robert Hood, Santiago Salazar has returned to LA, producing music that “has been consciously bridging the gap between local Chicano culture and underground club sounds” according to NPR. As for Mesmé, she is a citizen of the world with roots in Tehran, Singapore, and NYC which makes her sound an incredible blend of dark techno and minimal house. Simply put, this party is sure to bring out the love.

Respect Drum and Bass presents Dub Phizix & Strategy

Location: The Study, Los Angeles
When: February 15th

At this point in the month, Valentine’s Day is gone and the candy is on clearance but the fun doesn’t have to stop! If you suspect you’ll need a night out after the day of love, grab a friend and burn off the copious amounts of chocolate kisses we know you had the day before (don’t worry, we do this too!) The decks will be red hot with a mix of drum and bass and jungle music from Dub Phizix & Strategy so be sure to show up and show out!

As a part of San Francisco’s Noise Pop Music & Arts Festival which uses the best venues in the Bay to transform the city into a festival playground for a week, this show is one we highly recommend! Alongside CamelPhat, Elderbrook was recently nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for their jam “Cola” so trust us when we say this will be a night so groovy you’ll want an award just for being there.
