Why did you want to intern at the Do LaB?
The first time I heard about the Do LaB was when I went to Coachella a couple of years ago and visited the Do LaB stage. Something about the experiences I had there really stuck with me, and I wanted to be a part of a team that makes such memorable experiences for people.
What are some things you have learned so far?
I am really learning to appreciate how every small thing has to be designed by someone, from a sticker for your car to the lineup poster itself. Every aspect has so much thought put into it and so many people contributing and approving along the way. Everything really is a team effort and it’s a very collaborative environment. Also, how important file naming is when multiple people have to be able to find the files!
What are your career goals and how has Do LaB prepared you to achieve them?
I think interning at Do LaB has really made me realize how important a creative environment is to me. I have worked other places that are much more “corporate” and the amazing, creative energy at the Do LaB office really keeps you inspired and wanting to create incredible things. I would absolutely love to work in the music industry and Do LaB has been an amazing place to start out at.
What is the best thing about interning at Do LaB?
The creative freedom is great and if you want to try something different out, everyone wants you to go for it. Also, the people are absolutely incredible. Everyone is excited to be there so coming into the office is always something I look forward to.
What’s been your favorite college class?
Studio C, a class that mimicked working in a studio. We worked with real world clients so it was a great learning experience on how to work with briefs and how to manage clients.
What is one thing you have learned from festivals?
Be there for anyone who needs a little help!
