Why did you want to intern at the Do LaB?
Do LaB has such a unique style and energy. I love the style of music Do LaB promotes as it is in line with my tastes and you can tell everyone just wants to have a good time. I wanted to intern at the Do LaB to learn the ins and outs of how they put on such spectacular, unique shows.
What are some things you have learned so far?
Accuracy is key! With so many moving parts happening at once, its important to stay organized and work carefully.
What are your career goals and how has Do LaB prepared you to achieve them?
I absolutely want to continue working in the music industry! After I graduate, I hope to work in operations or marketing in the music industry. The Do LaB has nearly everything in one place, whether it be marketing, operations, artist relations, design, etc.. Though I have interned in the industry before, the Do LaB is notable in the sense that it has exposed me to the many paths I could potentially go into. It’s an environment that teaches you how to be on top of your responsibilities, while also allowing you to work on projects that you will see the outcome of first hand once LIB 2019 comes around. Even though it has only been a month since my internship started, I am excited to see where it takes me!
What is the best thing about interning at Do LaB?
The people! Everyone that I’ve met in the office has been very welcoming and its nice to be in an atmosphere where people are positive and energetic (no matter how crazy it gets). I’m surrounded by so many talented people and with people coming in and out of the office it has been super cool learning about people’s backgrounds and how they came to work for Do LaB.
What’s been your favorite college class?
Business and Legal Aspects of the Music Industry
What is one thing you have learned from festivals?
You have to just enjoy them moment by moment and go with the flow. It’s an amazing experience that just allows you to appreciate music, artists and those around you. Festivals overall just bring people from all stages in life together in a positive, fun environment. It’s like one big party that you never want to end.
