Jesse Flemming –  Music Director/Executive Producer – Founder of Do LaB

Origin: Netherlands
Label: Kompakt Records
Why You Should Listen: “I like it cause it’s unique and has a lot of cross-genre funky beats.”
Suggested Listening:

Megan Young
Title: Assistant Music Director
Years with Do LaB: 6
Artist of the Month: ANOHNI
Origin: England
Label: Rough Trade
Why You Should Listen: “ ANOHNI’s album HOPELESSNESS is a heartbreaking work of genius and easily one of the best albums of 2016. It was co-produced by Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never along with ANOHNI, formerly of Antony & the Johnsons (who you may recognize as a guest vocalist in many Bjork tracks over the years). HOPELESSNESS is a bold and honest expression of the emotions that arise when addressing the stark environmental and political situation we face globally. It’s inspiring to see an artist be so courageous and dedicated to their message. I’d love to see more artists creating from such a vulnerable place and using their sphere of influence to bring important issues to light.”

Jesse Wright
: Talent Buyer/Program Director for The Woogie
Years with Do LaB: 10
Artist of the Month: DJ Koze
Origin: Germany
Label: Pampa Records
Why You Should Listen: “ Koze has always been one of my favorites. He’s weird, eclectic and super groovy. When you listen to his original tracks and remixes, his use of stereo imaging, odd sounds and arrhythmic secondary grooves are like ear candy and always make for a soulful experience. ”
