Event Spotlight: STS9 at The Wiltern

Eccentric music lovers alike will flock to the Wiltern in Los Angeles this Saturday night (January 30th) to satisfy their versatile music cravings as electronic rock band Sound Tribe Sector 9, or STS9, takes the stage. STS9 is touching down in LA for an exclusive one night only show as part of their magical “An Evening with STS9” tour.



STS9 is Hunter Brown (guitar/sequences), Jeffree Lerner (percussion), David Phipps (keyboards/synths) and Zach Velmer (drums) and Alana Rocklin (bass). The eclectic group has truly created a niche for themselves with their hypnotizing rock infused electronic music. Since forming in Atlanta 15 years ago, STS9 has headlined stages at the country’s biggest festivals and sold out shows nationwide as both an acoustic set-up and an electronic act.

On top of their hypnotic sounds and impressive touring schedule, the band has also birthed their own record label, 1320 RECORDS, allowing them to utilize their voice as a platform for change concomitant to raising a significant amount of money towards activism efforts. The group has donated $150,000 to the Make it Right Foundation to help rebuild a house in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans.
