Experience community in action at Lightning in a Bottle. Our campgrounds are a place to relax, play, and make friends with your neighbors. Whether you’re a minimalist or go the route of creating a camp to invite your fellow festival mates, you will enjoy plenty of California sky, fresh air, and good vibes. Bring your camping gear to camp in the general campgrounds or take advantage of our Atlaswyld premium camping packages.

General Campgrounds

Both GA and VIP festival passes include access to the general campgrounds and its amenities. Whether you are tent camping or car camping, the LIB campgrounds are a place to create the community we want to live in. Lightning in a Bottle is a family event, so please respect these guidelines and enable us to return year after year to offer one-of-a-kind experiences.


  • Observe the 5 MPH speed limit at ALL TIMES

  • Camping is free form so make friends with your neighbors and reduce space between sites.

  • Do not camp or block roads or walkways. This includes tent stakes and guylines.

  • No “Space Saving”or marking off an area for friends arriving later.

  • Bring only what you need. Remove packaging at home. Decrease waste.

  • Be a good neighbor. Be mindful of noise late at night and the early morning.

  • NO in-and-out privileges for car and RV camping vehicles! Vehicles moved after being placed will lose their vehicle pass.


Atlaswyld Campground

Embrace a new adventure with Atlaswyld, a premium onsite camping experience designed to elevate your accommodations and provide a unique environment that allows you to immerse yourself into the festival. RV Campgrounds

There will be separate designated campgrounds for RVs with power, RVs without power, 40’x40’ RV campsites, waterfront 40’x40' RV campsites, and 80'x80' campsites. Placement will be based on the pass you purchased and at the discretion of the RV placement team. Car camping is generally not allowed in the RV campgrounds, unless otherwise noted in the pass type.

What is the difference between the RV Passes?


  • General RV passes allow you to bring your RV into the designated RV campgrounds and will not be provided any services such as power, water, or sewer.

  • RV with Power passes allows you to bring your RV into the designated RV campgrounds and will be hooked up to a grid of power.

  • Make a bigger home base with your friends with an RV Group Campsite, a 40’x40’ campsite with power for one RV and space for additional tents. Waterfront and standard options available.

  • There are two types for each of the individual RV Passes (not Group Campsites)

    • SHORT for RV sizes less than 27’

    • LONG for RV sizes more than 27’.

Please note there is no sewer dump available upon exit of the festival for any type of RV pass.


Family Camp

Family Camp is a designated community campsite for LIB families with access to camp amenities including a community shade structure and dedicated portos. You can purchase Family Camp Passes and Family Camp RV Passes here. New this year! Powered RV spaces will be available.

LIB Kids & Families area provides a variety of family-friendly programming throughout the weekend. More details will be released in the coming months.

All individuals must have a Festival Pass. Kids Passes can be purchased through our ticketing page here. Please note that purchasing a family camp pass does not guarantee an exact location within the Family Camp.

Camping Guidelines

What can I bring into the festival?

Please note, festival grounds are separate of campgrounds.

Allowed in the Campgrounds:

  • Good Vibes

  • Camping Gear

  • Food and Water

  • A reasonable amount of alcohol for personal consumption

  • Coolers (ice will be available for sale)

  • Enclosed propane stoves

  • Cameras (do remember to ask for consent before taking photos of people you don’t know)

  • Paddle Boards, Floaties, and Inflatable Rafts

Not Allowed in Campgrounds

  • Generators of any kind

  • Sound systems

  • Weapons (Including machetes for opening coconuts)

  • Glass bottles or glass containers

  • Motorized vehicles for personal use

  • Pets (please email ada@thedolab.com to inquire and register a documented service animal)

  • Illegal drugs of any kind

  • Fireworks, fire tools or fire lanterns

  • Fires outside of designated fire pits

Allowed in Festival Grounds:

  • Good Vibes

  • Backpacks

  • Cameras

  • Reusable Water Bottles

  • Dust Mask


Not Allowed in Festival Grounds:

  • Alcohol 

  • Culturally Appropriated Costumes, Props or Attire (ie; Headdresses, etc.) Glass bottles or glass containers

  • Generators of any kind

  • Sound systems

  • Illegal drugs of any kind

  • Weapons (Including machetes for opening coconuts)

  • Fireworks, fire tools or fire lanterns

  • Pets (Email ada@thedolab.com to inquire and register a documented service animal)

  • Fires outside of designated fire pits


Security Policy

  • All persons, items and vehicles are subject to search upon entry by security and law enforcement.

  • Security personnel reserve the right to prohibit items seen as harmful, dangerous or not in the best interest of the festival and its patrons.


Leave It Better, Leave It Beautiful

Plan to take everything you bring to LIB back with you, or take advantage of LIB’s Waste Collection Stations:

  • Bring your own trash bags and sort your camp’s waste into compost, recycle and landfill. 

  • Sorted waste can be dropped off at collection stations FREE of charge.

  • Unsorted waste will incur a fee based on bag size. 

  • Bulky items, like camp gear, can be accepted. Fees may apply. 

  • Items in good condition can be donated.
